We consider implementing SuperMemo application for Android.

I have an iPhone, but the app does no good to me until it will sync with my user made courses online. However, I have had good results simply signing in to supermemo.net using the browser on my iPhone. A similar approach might be useful on the Android.

Yes, I downloaded the iphone app and was very unhappy that I could not log in to get my courses and data that is online. What are we expected to do, start over? Or replicate our learning?

Really hoping the Android version lets you log in somehow.

The new version expected in February will include Q-A import/export among other changes. Synchronization with supermemo.net is next on the list of new features in SuperMemo for iPhone. You can vote for expected changes at http://www.supermemo.eu/supermemo_iphone .

Any word about the Android version? Of course it would be rather pointless if like the iPhone version it wouldn't sync with the online lessons...

My vote: optimize the app for use on the iPad.

If you need any argument for developping a version for Android, some studies predict android to have a bigger market share than the iphone in a few years.

Android has almost tripled its share of the smartphone market in the US in just three months. Its share of the market jumped from 3.8 percent in November to 9 percent in February. The move likely helped keep Apple's iPhone in check as it stayed nearly flat at 25.4 percent...
