How is the forgetting index used to calculate the repetition schedule? Which values will result in more frequent repetitions?
Forgetting index – describes a proportion of pages which may not be memorised by the user. For instance, if the rate equals 10%, the SuperMemo algorithm will schedule repetitions in a way allowing the user to memorise 90% of the learnt material.
So in other words, Lower forgetting index will cause repetetions more often, am I correct?
That's right. Lower forgetting index means lower proportion of items allowed forgotten during repetitions, hence repetitions scheduled more often.
