Everything works for me. I tried Kakashi's example with xml tags (, ).

Yes it works for me too now that I fixed my typo.

Any news on a way to import XML or TXT? It's immensely time consuming to manually add lots of vocab.

For some reason the QA upload has not been working for me. I have been doing everything correctly, and the first file I uploaded worked, so I know I was doing it right, but none after that. I think it is some sort of bug. What this site really needs is some sort of express entry form, where you can make multiple flash cards at a time. It's vocabulary, so all I have to do is copy/paste. Imagine a form where you enter a number, check or uncheck a box for xml and title=question, and it will generate that number of basic forms on a single page. Then when the forms are filled, you submit and it tags all of the files onto the chapter element. I'm sure you're working on other, more important things, so feel free to ignore this idea ;)

Edit: I finally got it to work. Here is what was happening: I clicked on Q&A import, and the box came up. Since mine was saved as western (Mac OS Roman), I couldn't upload it, or so I thought. I changed my file to UTF-8 and uploaded it as a UTF-8 file. For some reason I couldn't make it work, even when I copy-pasted the example earlier in the thread. Another user was kind enough to send me a Q&A file that worked for him, and I tried just uploading it without making any changes, and it worked. So, I looked at it, and it was saved as western (Mac OS Roman). So, apparently, you can upload western (Mac OS Roman) as ASCII, but you can't upload UTF-8 as UTF-8. Interesting, huh?

          We'll check it.

Just an update on my situation. It does upload utf-8 for me now. It seems that the problems were stemming from a specific file, and when I made a new Q&A file from scratch, I could do what I wanted with it. It seems that whenever I tried to upload the Q&A, or copy/paste content from that file into a new Q&A and upload it, it wouldn't recognize the format, and stick all of the Q's and A's in the Q field of one question. For the answer, it would put the word "esperar" in (spanish for "to hope"), even though that word was nowhere in my file. It was really quite bizarre, but I have no more problems now that I don't use that specific Q&A file. It might have been a problem on my end, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it was.

Upload does not appear to any longer be recognizing Cyrillic alphabet over Unicode.  I used the same method I have used many times in the past, however as of today Cyrillic characters are showing up as only "?" question marks.

I uploaded 297, which would be a major undertaking to delete all of them.  When I try to delete the chapter all at once, I get an error that the branch cannot be deleted.

Any help with either of these problems?

We are going to implement some new features connected with branches (i.e. change template for all pages in branch) but for now you cannot do such a things (i.e. delete all pages in selected branch).

I have now tried Unicode/UTF-8 on both Windows and Macintosh, using both Firefox and Safari as browsers, and removing XML codes.  Cyrillic is still uploading as only "?" question marks.

I understand restricting the ability to delete an entire branch, it's a good idea.  Without an ability to "Undo", it's too dangerous to allow.  I am excited at the idea of being able to change the template or XML code for all pages in a chapter.

Thank you for looking into the Cyrillic issue so quickly.

We will take close look at this issue.

My daily repetitions are almost at half of where I normally keep them.  I should like to change my focus to another course of study if you don't foresee the ability to upload Cyrillic characters within the next week.  Let me know if possible.

                    Thank you.
