Self-study course for the Cambridge English: First examination (formerly FCE)

This broad variety of tests and questions similar to those that can occur at the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam includes 2 simulations of an actual exam. The course is fully compliant with the requirements of the Cambridge University, applicable since January 2015.

  • A multimedia course with exercises allowing for independent preparation for the Cambridge English: First – FCE exam. The course is divided into 5 sections corresponding to the 5 parts of the exam: Reading, Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
  • Two interactive simulations of the actual exam, to determine how well you are prepared for the exam.
  • All components of the program are accompanied by recordings made by professional, native British teachers.
  • Exercises are based on actual exam tasks from previous years and have been specially developed in order to best prepare you for the Cambridge English: First exam.
  • Permanent memorisation is guaranteed by the award-winning SuperMemo method, appreciated by renowned institutions and authorities worldwide.

Changes introduced since the previous version of the FCE course:

  • Formerly separate sections Reading and Use of English have been combined in the exam simulations. They have remained separate in the course, in order to make navigation easier.
  • A word-building exercise has been added: part 3 of Reading & Use of English.
  • A new format of reading comprehension exercise has been added: part 7 of Reading & Use of English.
  • An oral comprehension exercise (including recordings of 5 different voices) has been added: part 3 of Listening.
  • An oral comprehension exercise based on a recorded conversation (an interview with a traveller, a job interview) has been added: part 4 of Listening.
  • Part 3 of Speaking has been changed: you will talk to your partner about proposed solutions to a specific problem and try to convince them to your point of view.
  • Part 4 of Speaking has been added: you will answer the examiner's questions related to part 3.
